We will use forceps to remove the tooth in question, if it is sitting above the gum line. In cases where the tooth is fully or partially impacted, it may be necessary to surgically remove some tissue or bone, so the tooth can be smoothly extracted. Extraction may be considered in cases such as when a tooth is damaged, decayed or infected beyond repair and when a root canal is no longer possible.
