Your dentist will examine your smile at an initial implants consultation and take impressions, X-rays and scans of your teeth, ensuring you have sufficient jawbone to go ahead with treatment – we can refer you for a bone graft if you do not. The implant will be inserted into the jawbone and left to fuse with it over a period of around 3-6 months. Once the body has accepted the implant, we can invite you back in to have a restoration, such as a crown or bridge, placed over the top, to provide function and aesthetic.
